Tater Salad

Welcome to Tater-Salad.com

This is Tater Salad's online portal for everything guild related. If you ever have any questions, please don't be shy and ask. Feel free to post in the forums and someone will more than likely answer you quite quickly. We will never hesitate to share our spec or our good hunting spots.

If you are interested in raiding with us, it is important to register an account here so you can sign up for our raids. We always take players who are signed up for the raid before players who aren't and quite often, all 24 spots will be accounted for before the raid even starts.

If you have any problems registering, take a look at the user list and find the officers. If you click on their name, you can see a list of all of their characters. Then just send them a tell in the game and they will be more than happy to get your account setup here.

If you are new to AoC and looking for a guild to join or a veteran and looking for a new guild and you would like to find out some more info about us, check out these pages: About Us or How to Join.

Also, this site is quite new and we are always looking for feedback to improve it, so go here and let us know what you think.

And please enjoy your stay at Tater Salad.

Taters are officially at WAR with Meridian

Posted: Jul 19, 2010 1:14 am Author: VarkarianGuild Leader
Earlier this evening, several members of Meridian were badmouthing Taters in global. Lots of trash talking and insults were exchanged.

I went to Meridian's vent to demand an apology for the actions of their members. There leadership was told that if we did not receive one we would withdraw from the alliance.

Shortly thereafter, a large group of Meriidan zoned into CE and began attacking Taters. All Taters were called into the zone to fight for the guild. With many Taters in zone and a few friends as well, Taters were able to push the raid sized force of Meridian out of CE.

It was an outstanding display of teamwork and coordination. The Taters that were there at the beginning also showed extreme courage and determination by staying in zone when they were vastly outnumbered before reinforcements arrived.

Once assembled, it was a hard fought fight, but we pushed Meridian out of the zone. All the Taters that took part in the fight should be proud of the accomplishment. I salute you all.

All members should also be advised that a state of war now exists between Taters and any guild in the Meridian alliance. All members of Meridian, Legends and Lore, and Unforgiven are now kill on sight. Additionally, all other guilds are to be treated as friendly and with courtesy.

The opposition was shocked when we pushed them out. I have no doubt that this guild has some of the best PvPers on the server. We will put up one hell of a fight, and with our steadfast determination we will win

Guard Raid Spec Enforcement

Posted: Jun 21, 2010 10:35 am Author: VarkarianGuild Leader
Let me start this by saying that I do my best to be impartial and fair to all in the management of the guild's affairs. However, just like everyone, I am fallible and either overlook things or unconsciously show some favoritism from time to time.

It was recently pointed out to me by several people in a group discussion that I have been allowing some guards to deviate from the required raid spec, while at the same time enforcing it with regard to others. After some objective though on the matter, it is clear and obvious that these people are correct.

I have admittedly allowed some in the guild who are able to make up for polearm's MT deficiencies through sheer skill to play without comforting to our raid spec. As has been correctly pointed out to me, this is unfair. Furthermore, I will say that even though these polearm specs can be effective, I do not think they are as equally effective as the sword and board spec.

From now on, all guards attending any of our raids are required to use the guild's guard raid spec. Enforcement of the policy will include all regular members, officers, and raid leaders. If there are guards that do not want to use it, that is fine. They will simply not be allowed in the raids.

Having a guard in this guild entitles people to several benefits. The guards get to control the pace of the raids. More importantly, the guards are often given relic priority over all other classes. If people want to enjoy these benefits, then they need to comply with the guild's needs.

I thank those of you that met with me. I will not list names as I know that several of your were uncomfortable with broaching the subject. However, this is a good example of me making an error in judgment and it being corrected by the willingness of our average members to discuss it with me.

Thanks again - Happy raiding

No Sunday Raids During the Summer Season

Posted: May 26, 2010 3:05 pm Author: VarkarianGuild Leader
Our regularly scheduled Sunday raids are being suspended during the summer months. This means our raid schedule is being cut back from five nights a week to four. At the end of the summer season, we will put a regularly scheduled raid back on for Sunday nights.

The officers came to this decision for several reasons. Chiefly among them is that people tend to enjoy the outdoors more during the summer season (which is a good thing!), so our Sunday attendance is likely to suffer the most. Additionally, with all of the new six man content, removing Sunday will give those players in game another night to work on it.

After all, even without Sunday, we will still continue to raid Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

Enjoy the bit of extra sunshine everyone!
